KPV
The last three amino acids of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), studied for its anti-inflammatory activity in laboratory models.

Level of evidence
Preclinical — cell and animal studiesWhat it is
KPV (lysine–proline–valine) corresponds to residues 11–13 at the C-terminal end of α-MSH, a hormone derived from pro-opiomelanocortin.
State of the research
Research covers anti-inflammatory effects in cell cultures and animal models, notably of intestinal inflammation, including nanoparticle formulations. Controlled human trials have not been published.
