CJC-1295 (with DAC)
A synthetic analogue of growth-hormone-releasing hormone, linked to a chemical group that binds albumin to prolong its action. Studied in early clinical trials in the 2000s.

Level of evidence
Clinical trials — controlled human studiesWhat it is
CJC-1295 is a modified version of the first 29 amino acids of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). The “DAC” (Drug Affinity Complex) is a reactive group that attaches the peptide to albumin in the blood, which lengthens its half-life.
State of the research
Small clinical studies in healthy adults were published in 2006. Development did not lead to an approved medicine.
