AOD-9604
A fragment of the end of the growth hormone molecule, developed in Australia as a potential anti-obesity drug. Clinical trials in the 2000s did not lead to approval.

Level of evidence
Clinical trials — controlled human studiesWhat it is
AOD-9604 corresponds to amino acids 177–191 of human growth hormone with an added tyrosine at the N-terminus. It is closely related to the “HGH fragment 176-191”.
State of the research
It was studied in clinical trials as an anti-obesity drug in the 2000s. The trials did not show a significant effect on body weight and development as a medicine was stopped.
