AHK-Cu
A copper-binding tripeptide closely related to GHK-Cu, studied mainly in cell models of skin and hair follicles.

Level of evidence
Preclinical — cell and animal studiesWhat it is
AHK (alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine) is a tripeptide that, like GHK, binds copper(II) ions. The two differ only by their first amino acid (alanine instead of glycine).
State of the research
Published work is mostly in vitro, on skin fibroblasts and hair-follicle cells. Controlled human trials have not been published.
